The Peradeniya Police launched investigations after a preschool teacher was hacked to death this morning, while she was on her way to the school at Kobbekaduwa, in Peradeniya.
Police said the 119 emergency hotline received information that a woman was admitted to the Ilukthenna Hospital after she was attacked with a sharp weapon on the Kobbekaduwa-Ginihena Road.
The victim was identified as a 25-year-old resident of Muruthalawa.
Police said there are yet to identify suspects in the murder. (Shane Senavirathne)
